Production Technician – Welding

May 27, 2026

At Adria Winch you work on real problems with real consequences. Our team of engineers, machinists, welders, and electrical specialists designs and builds equipment that operates in some of the world’s harshest environments — from the North Sea to Arctic waters. Every person here contributes to something that physically leaves the facility and performs for decades at sea.

About the Role

You will be part of the fabrication team at our production facility in Split, responsible for welding and assembling structural components for marine winches and deck machinery. The work is heavy, skilled, and consequential — the equipment you build operates at sea for decades.

Responsibilities

  • Weld structural and mechanical components from fabrication drawings — frames, drums, base structures, brackets
  • Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-strength alloys according to WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications)
  • Perform fit-up, tacking, and final welding in accordance with class requirements
  • Operate grinding, cutting, and lifting equipment safely
  • Inspect finished welds against quality standards and classification society requirements
  • Collaborate with mechanical assembly teams during unit build-up

What We’re Looking For

  • You take pride in the quality of your welds — you know the difference between a weld that passes visual inspection and one that will last 30 years at sea
  • You read fabrication drawings confidently and work independently from specifications
  • You are reliable, safety-conscious, and take ownership of your workspace

Requirements

  • MIG/MAG certification required (EN ISO 9606-1 or equivalent)
  • TIG certification strongly preferred, especially for stainless steel
  • Experience with structural steel fabrication — minimum 3 years in a production environment
  • Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols
  • Experience with stainless steel is a significant advantage
